Call for Abstracts ISCN 2027

Present your findings

ISCN 2027 is a translational research congress. Bring original science, evidence-grounded clinical methods, or a case that teaches — and present it to the field. Submissions open 15 July 2026.

ways to PRESENT

Four ways to share

Plenary presentations are largely invited, with a limited number of submitted slots. Microlearning sessions, skills labs, and posters are open to submission — and make up the majority of the program.

Plenary Presentations

Invited authority on each symposium theme, with a small number of competitively selected submitted talks. The deepest format on the program.

Microlearning Sessions

Fast, focused "Brain × [your topic]" talks running in parallel paths. The majority are peer-reviewed submissions alongside invited anchors.

Skills Labs

Lead a hands-on clinical translation lab — take the science to technique. Demonstration-style, run as parallel "choose one" sessions.

Posters

Present visually across all three days. Posters are assessed for the Young Investigator Awards, with the top three presenting live on the final day.

What WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Every submission is grounded in evidence

ISCN is a translational congress: we accept work that either presents research or presents a topic clearly supported by it. When you submit, you'll declare which kind of contribution it is — and reviewers apply the bar that fits.

1
Brain ×
Original Research
A clinical, basic, or applied study you conducted. Structured abstract with methods and results expected.

2
Brain ×
Clinical Translation
A structured review, scoping review, or evidence synthesis of a topic relevant to clinical neuroscience.

3
Brain ×
Review & Synthesis
A structured review, scoping review, or evidence synthesis of a topic relevant to clinical neuroscience.

4
Brain ×
Case-Based
A case or case series that illustrates a mechanism or treatment, set in its published literature context.

5
Brain ×
Technology & Methods
A device, measurement, or analytical method — presented with validation data, not a product pitch.

SUbMISSION CRITERIA AND FORMAT

What every submission must contain.

Poster Abstract requirements

  • Structured abstract, up to 250 words — Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion for original research; adapted sections for other types.
  • A clear statement of the evidence base — data, citations, or both. "Supported by research" means you cite that research.
  • Up to 5 key references, and a stated conflict-of-interest disclosure.
  • Submitting author identified, with affiliations and a nominated presenter.
  • Indicate your preferred track and submission type.

Micro-learning Presentations

  • About you— name, credentials, affiliation, short bio, headshot, speaking experience
  • Structured summary — up to 250 words describing your presentation
  • Learning objective — 2-3 action oriented learning objectives
  • Evidence statement — including 1 to 5 peer-reviewed and published references
  • COI Disclosure — submission of all commercial interests.
  • Originality Statments — AI disclosure statement, and attestation of original work.
THE TRANSLATIONAL GATE

We welcome both new science and well-made clinical teaching — but not anecdote or product promotion without an evidence basis. Every accepted submission must answer one question: How will this help change lives in clinical practice?
